About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an In House Fundraising Manager to join our Individual Giving team. You will be responsible for recruiting, retaining and developing the regional in-house fundraising team to generate new regular givers, with the strongest lifetime value to the British Red Cross. This is a key area of growth for the organisation - these donors will go on to give approaching GBP 2 million which will allow us to continue our work helping people in crisis.

Please note that a full UK driving licence is essential in this post, as the post holder will be expected to travel within the local area.

About the team
The Individual Giving Team is responsible for recruiting new supporters via printed, broadcast, face-to-face (F2F) and new media. Relationships with these supporters are then developed so as to maximise lifetime value to the charity, predominantly by generating cash donations, regular gifts, and legacy pledges.

About the person
We are particularly keen in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate the below skills and experience:

  • IT literate - Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of 'Face to Face' or Dialogue Fundraising techniques and best practice
  • Strong working knowledge of street, private sites or door to door fundraising
  • Formal trainer training would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to carry out presentations and produce written documents to a high standard

Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 27th September 2017
