A Head of Property and Facilities opportunity with a leading children’s cancer charity. 

Today, 11 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. Our client is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families, and provides them with clinical, practical, emotional and financial support. You can be a part of helping them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. 

Position: Head of Property and Facilities 
Location: Bristol, South West 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 28 to 35 hours per week 
Salary: £41,500 per annum (FTE)

About the role: 

They want to ensure all young cancer patients and their families receive the support they need from them, for as long as they need it. This is a genuine opportunity to make change happen – come and join them. 

Are you an experienced Property and Facilities Professional? Do you have a track record of operating in complex stakeholder environments, managing a mixed portfolio of properties? Would you be described as someone who is able to work collaboratively, develop strong networks and also negotiate deals on favourable terms? Someone who enjoys the challenge of a varied role that includes property transactions, strategy setting, maintenance planning, contributing to refurbishments and new developments? 

Then you could join their fight in this role, bringing together the Property and Facilities functions to support the infrastructure of their organisation and the premises that deliver some of their core services. 

Our client is looking for a Head of Property and Facilities to join their Corporate Resources team in Bristol. This role will sit within the finance, technology and corporate resources directorate and will focus on delivering professional property advice, effective maintenance and facilities arrangements and contract management, predominantly for their offices, Trading and Home from Home teams. 

The post-holder will work cross-directorate and cross-organisationally to ensure that their Property and Facilities strategy and management is effective and fit-for-purpose to deliver against organisational objectives and will work to identify and deliver improvements in these areas. 

About you: 

They are looking for a self-starter, with excellent planning, prioritisation and organisation skills to manage a diverse workload and team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced property professional and Charted Surveyor, with the ability to influence others, motivate a team and develop positive collaborative working relationships internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders. They will have the ability to interpret and understand the needs and requirements of other teams and develop innovative solutions to property and facilities projects and drive these forward within timelines and budget constraints.
