We have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your finance knowledge and skills to provide support to the Head of Finance.

The overall purpose of this role is to provide an excellent accounting service within the organisation, ensuring effective and efficient support across all areas of financial processing. Key duties will consist of inputting all invoices and credit notes to the finance system using scanning, ensuring all purchase orders and invoices are authorised and as well as accurately recording all information on the finance system.You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, supporting preparation of VAT returns and providing support to the preparation of monthly and annual accounts. In addition you will have the opportunity to do payroll, preparing payment runs once authorised and approved.

To be considered for this role, it is essential to have experience of payroll, bank reconciliations and processing invoices. Excellent communications skills are essential as you will be liaising with suppliers and stakeholders within the organisation, as well as providing systems support to managers within the charity. Knowledge of all areas of financial accounting such as ledger work, VAT, and an understanding of financial policies and procedures is required. In addition to having a high level of accuracy and attention to detail you must be confident with using Microsoft Excel. Experience of using Sun Systems is desirable.

Please note the starting salary will be offered at £24,129 plus £1k location allowance.
