Are you an excellent fundraiser with experience of developing and managing relationships with businesses and working to clear income targets?
We are recruiting a Fundraising Manager to support our National Literacy Trust Hub in Bradford, which brings together a range of partners to improve literacy levels in the city.
You will be responsible for developing key relationships with businesses, trusts, foundations and other sources of funding in Bradford and promoting business engagement to support Hub activity.
You will need to be a successful corporate fundraiser with significant experience of corporate social responsibility and sponsorship/partnerships. You will also need to be a strong team player, working closely with colleagues both in Bradford, where you will be based, and the central National Literacy Trust team in London.
One person in six in the UK has poor literacy skills that impact on every area of their life. A child without good reading, writing and communication skills can’t succeed at school, and as an adult they could be locked out of the job market. Poverty doubles the likelihood of literacy failure by the age of five.

We run projects in the poorest communities, campaign to make literacy a priority for politicians and parents, and support schools.
