The British Heart Foundation (BHF) plans to deliver significant business change programmes and projects in the next few years. The IT department is at the heart of delivering this change, and is building skills and teams to achieve success.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Systems Tester who will contribute to the testing service for the whole organisation. You'll work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, end users, third party suppliers and Project Managers, in varied areas of BHF to plan, design, manage, execute and report on manual and automated tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to BHF standards. This may include creating, using and maintaining test products (e.g. test cases, test scripts, test reports, test plans, etc.) to measure and improve the quality of the software being tested.
The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of underlying software engineering principles and techniques and extensive experience of testing IT applications. Fully conversant with Microsoft packages including Office, SharePoint, CRM you'll have excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex business and technical processes to a non-technical user group.
Experienced in writing test plans and test scripts to a high standard you will be proactive, able to use your initiative and work closely with key project stakeholders. You will have previous experience of working on a variety of projects with knowledge of modern methodologies, systems and architectures.
The successful candidate will have experience of creating test plans, writing & executing test scripts/cases, recording and documenting test results,. As well as setting-up and maintaining test artefacts for your assigned programmes/projects and continually measuring and reporting testing progress.
