About the team

At the heart of the BRC fundraising strategy is a commitment to growing fundraising using every tool at our disposal. The direct marketing team is responsible for recruiting new supporters via a variety of media. Relationships with these supporters are then developed to maximise their lifetime value, predominantly by generating cash donations and regular gifts.

Over recent years the direct marketing team has experienced considerable success, and over 500kregular givers and 500k ad hoc cash donors have helped fuel growth in this area. At present, direct marketing contributes two thirds of the fundraising division's annual net income target. In2017, the direct marketing team aims to raise over GBP 97 million from an expenditure of over GBP 23 million. To help us reach this goal, we've embarked on an exciting new donor-centred strategy so a challenging and rewarding time lies ahead for all involved.
