Our client is looking for a talented, experienced Communications Manager who will support their team in delivering an effective communications strategy for their hospice charity.

Location: Taunton, Somerset
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £30,340 per annum

Our client is the leading provider of end of life services in Somerset. Their track record of investing in high quality and caring support means they are one of the UK’s largest Hospices.

They deliver care for over 3,200 people each year who face a life limiting illness. Only 25% of their costs are supported by the NHS. The rest is provided by charitable income through their fundraising, their shops and from donations. Their pioneering services depend upon the best people who can innovate and provide the best care possible for patients and their families.

They are looking for someone who can manage, produce and deliver impactful communications to drive awareness, event participation and community engagement across a wide variety of media. This dynamic role, will require the successful candidate to build strong relationships both internal and external, travel across Somerset, work at pace, against challenging and competing deadlines to support the delivery of a compelling and effective communications programme.

They have ambitious plans to reach more people who need their specialist care by significantly increasing their charitable income in the next 5 years and this role is key to their success. If you are a self-starter with a strong communications background, have the ability to produce and deliver impactful and compelling messages to a high standard, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and a passion for helping others, then this is the role for you.
