Assistant Project Worker (Charity / Housing Association)

Our client is a registered housing association providing housing primarily for single people. 

Position: Assistant Project Worker 
Location: Eastbourne & Newhaven 
Contract: Permanent 
Hours: 24 hours per week on rota across both sites 
Salary: £9642 per annum (Additional £13.47 on call)

About the Role: 

This important role involves working closely with young mothers to provide support and advice to enable them to achieve independent living. As identifying and addressing their needs forms a vital part of the job, you will need to work effectively with the whole team and partner agencies. 

About You: 

Qualified to GCSE standard or equivalent you will be IT literate, including experience of using Microsoft Office applications. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills along with excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication. 

You should be an excellent communicator with an approachable nature and capable of dealing with their tenants in a calm and understanding way. You will also need to have the ability to offer young people support with parenting, housing, employment, counselling and welfare benefits.
