Hours: 21 hours per week.

Salary: GBP 14,862 per annum pro rata (actual salary GBP 8,917.20 per annum for 21 hours per week)

About the role
Reporting to our Retail Communications Advisor, we are looking for a dynamic individual who will support the production of print and online / web based material for the retail department, including a regular newsletter. Supporting a business of over 350 shops from our National retail office, it would be the responsibility of the post holder to create and deliver engaging content for retail's social media accounts, as well as providing internal retail communication support to our local teams.

About the team
The Retail Department, which forms part of the Fundraising Division, operates around 330 Red Cross charity shops throughout the UK and has a complement of over 6,500 volunteers and 700 paid staff and a turnover in excess of GBP 28m per annum.

About the person

We are looking for an individual who is an accurate worker with a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be able to convey information to wide and differing audiences, using a range of approaches.

We are particularly keen in hearing from candidates who have knowledge of social media platforms, preferably within a commercial context, as well as proof reading skills. Knowledge of IT applications, particularly Microsoft Office packages, is essential in this role.
