Employment Advisor - Mental Health
Prospectus is pleased to be working with a mental health charity who provides support resources to people with mental health problems that makes social inclusion and participation in everyday life a reality. Having acquired funding for a specialist Employability service, the charity is currently going through an exciting period of change, and are therefore looking to recruit several Employment Advisor to support the service.
As Employment Advisor, you will provide an employability service that supports people with sever and common mental health problems to achieve paid, competitive employment in a fulfilling, sustainable way by deploying the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. Supporting a caseload of service users, you will support clients through their journey to employment by building social connections and support networks, assisting them to become financially independent as well as supporting them to improve their general health and wellbeing.
To be successful, you will have significant knowledge and experience of developing and supporting people into mainstream employment through providing an in depth, person centred employability service. In addition, you will also possess the ability to work effectively with people with mental health problems along with experience of multi-agency liaison including support professionals and employer engagement. Finally, knowledge and/or experience of the IPS model is ideal as is an NVQ Level 2/3 in advice and guidance.
