Director of Engagement
London Youth has a long, proud history of working with and through our members and at our two residential centres to support and challenge young people to be the best they can be.
It has never been a more exciting – or important – time for organisations working with young Londoners than it is now and, as an organisation, we’ve never been stronger. As more and more people recognise the difference that high quality community-based youth work can make, we are in a strong position to advocate on behalf of our members, and demonstrate impact based on clear evidence and strong partnerships.
As we embark on a new three-year strategy, we’re now looking for a Director of Engagement to join our senior leadership team. This is a vital, senior and strategic role that will further develop our membership strategy to increase our reach and lead our communications and marketing teams to build awareness of young people’s views and needs and the value of community based work with young people, positioning London Youth as the gateway for members to London influencers, policy makers and funders. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our long-term vision and strategy and work alongside your colleagues across the organisation to ensure that it is successfully delivered.
You will bring a strong track record of growing membership with experience of strategically leading communications and marketing activity. You will need to be genuinely committed to putting young people and our members at the heart of our strategy and communications, combining strategic ambition, determination and rigour with great relationship-building skills. With a strong interest in young people’s development, you will believe in honesty, collaboration, commitment to improvement and fun.
Wherever you come from – not-for- profit, private or public sector - you will be as excited by this role and the potential for London Youth as we are.
