Support Worker / Care Worker (Charity / Learning Disabilities)

Everything they do focuses on helping the people they support live the best life possible and by working in partnership with them, and those that know them well, they create flexible services that meet their needs, whether they need a lot, or just occasional support. 

They currently have vacancies as a Support Worker in their Sussex service, working full or part-time shifts on a rota basis. 

No experience is required for these roles - life experience and personal values are more important. 

Position: Support Worker 
Location: Walberton and surrounding area of West Sussex 
Hours: Full or part-time hour’s available (full-time 37.5 hours per week) 
Salary: £7.50 per hour aged 21 and over or £7.03 between the ages of 18-20. Enhancements paid for sleep-in duties.

About the Role: 
As a Support Worker / Care Worker, you will enable the people they support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. 

They are recruiting Support Workers to work within their residential and supported living services in the Walberton and surrounding area of West Sussex, supporting adults with a learning disability in their own homes. 

About You: 
No previous experience is required for this role, what is more important is that you have a passion and desire to be part of the social care world, and are enthusiastic about supporting people. 

An awareness or knowledge of learning disabilities would be great, however if you have a caring nature, like being around people and can tackle issues with a positive frame of mind, then you are highly encouraged to apply today. This role will involve some intimate personal care. Due to the location, being a driver with your own transport is preferable but not essential. 

As they provide 24/7 support you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to accompany people they support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities.
