Since 1961, our research has transformed the way we prevent, diagnose and treat heart disease. And we've saved countless lives along the way. That's what keeps us going.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity with a mission to lead the fight for every heartbeat through pioneering cardiovascular research. We fund thousands of scientists in the UK carrying out cardiovascular research and our work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are helping to change the face of the UK's fight against heart disease.

About the role

We have built a reputation for delivering sector leading partnerships with some of the most recognisable brands in the world. The Head of New Business is central to the delivery of our ambition to increase our existing portfolio of partners and significantly grow income in order to fund more research.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships you'll be one of two team leaders within the Corporate Partnerships team. You will be directly responsible for driving your team to prospect, network with, and deliver partnerships across high value strategic partnerships, charity of the year opportunities, sponsorship agreements, and cause related marketing campaigns.

About you

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess the ability to think creatively and commercially, and have the skills to lead an ambitious and demanding team. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of Corporate Partnerships, Corporate Social Responsibility and/or the commercial sector

Adept in Microsoft Office and proficient in the use of databases (preferably fundraising databases) you will have a track record of successfully developing new business generation in the voluntary, public or commercial sector, as well as previous experience of negotiating high value commercial agreements.

With excellent organisational skills matched by strong communication skills you will be able to network with internal and external stakeholders of a senior level and be a credible ambassador for the British Heart Foundation.

This is an opportunity to make a profound and tangible difference to the success of the Corporate Partnerships team and therefore, to the 7 million people in the UK affected by cardiovascular disease.
