Senior Events Manager - Sports & Challenges
ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising Events Team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Care has built up a strong events function, with events currently accounting for nearly a third of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
We are now looking for an experienced and driven Senior Events Manager (maternity cover) to lead a team and help us to continue to deliver our targets and identify new opportunities for our Sports and Adventure portfolio – currently comprising of running events, triathlons, cycling events, overseas and UK challenges.
With the support of the Head of Events, the post holder will be responsible for their own budget areas working to agreed targets, maximising income and minimising expenditure.
They will also have line management (not all direct) for two Event Officers, two Event Executives and one Event Assistant in London and will have shared line management responsibility for our Events Project Manager – Scotland, based in Glasgow.
As well as leading a high performing team we are looking for someone to work on a variety of projects leading on marketing campaigns and developing supporter engagement plans. You will be experienced in delivering charity events and possess outstanding organisational, communication and marketing skills. You will need to have built relationships with third party event organisers, tour operators and suppliers to the overall benefit of your organisation.
You must be able to work as part of a team as well as have the ability to deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
