Executive Assistant 

An exciting opportunity to support the CEO of a leading international membership association working in the field of women’s health. 

Position: Executive Assistant 
Location: London, W10 
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The nature of the work is such that employees are be required from time to time to work outside the hours stated or from locations outside the UK 
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

About the Role: 

With 13,000 members in 127 countries, our client is the leading professional society in its field. You will be joining the Society’s dynamic team at a time of growth and will provide essential proactive support to the CEO to develop the Society’s charitable activities and projects in line with the strategic plan. 

The Executive Assistant will enhance the CEO’s effectiveness by providing effective executive and administrative support and by representing the CEO where appropriate. You will plan and coordinate meetings of the Board and Executive Committees, including venues, accommodation, travel and social programme and coordinate the agendas and recording of meetings. You will also support the Society’s honours committee and awards processes. 

About You: 

You will have a good first degree (minimum 2:1) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant role, further business administration qualification or office management / systems skills courses would be an advantage. You will have experience of diary management, complex scheduling and meeting organisation and demonstrable experience of working with Boards or Committees. You will also have experience of attending, preparing agendas and papers and minute taking for Board meetings and solid working experience of office administration processes. 

Additionally you will have excellent Microsoft Office and document presentation skills, advanced knowledge of Excel / Access / Outlook / PPT / Adobe suite would be beneficial. You will have exceptional organising and prioritising skills to manage multiple projects independently with excellent report writing and proof reading skills. 

Experience of the principles of good governance would be an advantage, as would experience of website content management and social media competency. It would also be beneficial if you have research and analysis skills and an awareness of or interest in issues in global public health / women’s health.
