Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser
World Cancer Research Fund UK champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.
This is an exciting time for WCRF UK as we go through a period of change following a strategic review of our fundraising activities. We wish to recruit a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser on an interim basis (12-month fixed-term contract) whilst we establish the building blocks to expand and develop income from trusts and foundations.
You will be responsible for initiating, maintaining and developing relationships with charitable trusts and other grant giving bodies and working within budgets to achieve income targets. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of financial success with trusts and other grant making bodies and be used to working in a charity environment.
The ability to work on multiple funding applications at the same time is essential, as is having accurate and clear reporting skills and a flair for writing compelling and tailored applications. Critical to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity in shaping funding approaches and applications.
You will have excellent research, organisation and communication skills and display a proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
