Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Legacy Giving Officer 
Location: Flexible working base with regular travel throughout the South England Region 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £27,782.00 per annum (actual)

About the role: 

As the Legacy Giving Officer for the South you will be responsible for promoting Gifts in Wills, to both our supporters and staff in the region, through a series of legacy events and supporter stewarding activities. 

The Legacy team at Alzheimer’s Society has an enviable track record with income seeing exponential growth over the last 5 years achieving a record £23.5m for 2016/17. Legacy income accounts for almost 25% of the total income for the Society and this is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to grow in reputation as leaders in the sector. 

As part of the South Regional Fundraising team, you will play an important role in helping to support our fundraising plans which in turn will help deliver the new five year Alzheimer’s Society organisational strategy. 

About you: 

If you have experience in fundraising, sales or marketing, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to expand your experience of transferable skills. You will join an already established team of Legacy Giving Officers and you will work closely alongside other Regional Fundraising colleagues and the Operations Directorate to ensure our supporters are aware of this way of giving, by inspiring our supporters at legacy events and effective stewardship of our pledgers. You will be given full support and training to help you succeed in this exciting role.
