A national arts organisation is looking for a press officer to come on board to take on the responsibility for publicising the work of the learning department. They have an exciting 12 months ahead with a variety of projects that they are looking to get national and regional coverage for.
This post would be reporting into the deputy head of press but also liasing closely with colleagues in the learning department, to support them to deliver high quality communications and ensure that they are getting the recognition for their work.
Though this is a fixed term post they are looking for someone who would ideally want to go permanent. They are open to people working both in house and in an agency - it is skill set that is the most important thing!
So what are we looking for from you?
- Experience in press or media relation role, with a track record of proactive press campaigns.
- Able to manage a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
- An understanding of how social media fits into the media relations and press offering and campaigns.
- A great understanding of how to make a story compelling.
