Money Management Adviser
Salford Foundation has secured funding from the Money Advice Service to employ two Advisers to test out more widely its approach to engaging vulnerable service users. The Advisers will offer advice, support and advocacy to vulnerable female offenders and those who are at risk of offending who are in challenging circumstances and are additionally experiencing problems relating to debt, budgeting and welfare benefit matters.
We are seeking proactive individuals with a good understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable women. The Advisers will provide those service users with informed support, appropriate information and specialist advice when required working within the Greater Manchester Women’s Alliances Women’s Centres in each of the boroughs of Greater Manchester. The ability to form empathic relationships with service users, communicate effectively at all levels, manage time effectively and work to targets will be essential.
The successful candidates will have recent experience of providing debt/welfare advice. Candidates are required to have completed the Certificate in Money Advice Practice or become accredited within nine months of the start of the role.
