Role summary


Based in Northampton as part of our New Goods Buying & Merchandising team, the assistant buyer supports the buyer in all aspects of their role. You'll be responsible for managing many elements of the critical path of the product range from planning and sourcing through to placing the purchase orders. This opportunity is in our Furniture and Homewares team.

The role is key to liaison with product suppliers, field management and over 700 British Heart Foundation stores, marketing, PR, our warehouse and many other internal contacts.

About you

The ideal candidate will have buying experience gained in a Head Office retail environment, be commercially aware, have good negotiation skills and be passionate about retail.

You'll be a team player, able to build excellent relationships and communicate effectively with people across the organisation and be able to manage a range of tasks with competing deadlines.
