The key responsibilities of this Challenge Events Manager will be:

  • Line manage a team of 3, based around the UK
  • Take charge of a portfolio of events and ensure these are delivered to the highest quality
  • Undertake all relevant logistical and operational planning using strong project management skills
  • Manage budget for the team and ensure all event production costs are included
  • Work with stakeholders around the organisation to ensure agreed sponsorship opportunities are maximised
  • Maximise fundraising potential at all events
  • Develop relationships with appropriate providers and partners to secure beneficial contracts
  • Manage volunteers at various events
  • Provide thorough post event analysis and ensure accurate reporting


The person specification for this Challenge Events Manager is:

  • Proven track record of successful 360 event delivery
  • Prior experience of working on events with large participation numbers (500+)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Line management experience
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a group
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to balance a complex work load and deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Good under pressure
  • Strong relationship building/management skills
  • Experience of working at a strategic level
  • Budget management experience
  • A driving license is required

Job Offer

This organisation is looking to offer a salary of around £35,000.
