Head of Fundraising
The Prince’s Countryside Fund
Salary in the range of £55,000 - £60,000

The Prince’s Countryside Fund is seeking to appoint a creative and entrepreneurial individual as its first Head of Fundraising. The post-holder will play a pivotal role in facilitating a step-change in the Fund’s fundraising strategy.

Since its establishment by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2010, The Prince’s Countryside Fund has carved out a niche position as one of only a handful of national charities which aims to improve the prospects of family farm businesses and the quality of rural life.

The Prince’s Countryside Fund is committed to promoting a confident, robust and sustainable agricultural and rural community which is universally appreciated for its vital contribution to the British way of life and fit to support future generations.

This is a very exciting time to be joining The Prince’s Countryside Fund as the charity embarks on its most ambitious and far reaching initiatives to date.

Line-managing the Corporate Partnerships Manager, being recruited alongside this role, and leveraging the networks and expertise of the Board of Trustees, the Head of Fundraising will take personal charge of the fundraising targets, developing and delivering an integrated fundraising plan encompassing major donors, corporates and events.

Reporting to the Director, the post-holder will be responsible for leading and nurturing a fledgling Development Group of senior volunteers and trustees, as well as expanding the donor reach of the Prince’s Countryside Fund to all parts of the UK, collaborating with local groups and senior volunteers.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented fundraiser to make their mark and build on the Fund’s successes to help provide a secure future for the countryside. The post-holder will have exceptional interpersonal skills; tactful, diplomatic and confident in managing and developing relationships with a diverse range of donors and volunteers.

The Head of Fundraising will have an understanding of securing income from a wide range of funding sources, with particular regard to securing major funding from private individuals and companies. An interest in the countryside, natural environment and rural issues is desirable.
