Paul Hamlyn Foundation is an independent grant-making foundation, with a mission to help people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. The Foundation supports charitable activity in the areas of arts, education and learning and social justice across the UK and in India.
The Foundation has recently introduced a new strategy and expanded its operations. We are recruiting an experienced finance professional to work in a team supporting our work, with a particular focus on financial control.
You will use your accountancy knowledge and experience to ensure the Foundation has the right control framework in place and to co-ordinate and contribute to key financial processes including producing annual accounts, setting budgets and producing reports for managers and trustees. This is a new role, being introduced after a time of change and the post-holder will be expected to show flexibility and adaptability to lead and support financial processes as the need arises.
The successful candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified chartered accountant who has experience of a broad range of finance areas including budget setting and producing statutory accounts. Flexibility and good communications skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with colleagues, are crucial.
The position is for 17.5 hours per week with the precise hours to be agreed.
