Patient and Carer Volunteers
Would you like to volunteer to improve health and healthcare?
If so, the Royal College of Physicians would like to hear from you.
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking new members to join its Patient and Carer Network (PCN) in England. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the RCP’s work with hospital doctors, and to influence the future of health and healthcare. If you are a patient or carer, or have a strong interest in improving healthcare, we want to hear from you.
Volunteer roles vary depending on the amount of time that you can give. They include:
- taking part in discussions on our online patient and carer community
- giving a patient’s view on standards, guidance and reports from the RCP and NHS
- taking part in focus groups on some of the biggest issues in healthcare, from patient safety to doctors’ training.
Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, but share a desire to make a difference to patient care. To find out more, please download and complete our short application form and return all supporting documents by email.
TO APPLY: Please download an application form from the supporting documents below and send completed versions to firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for applications is Sunday 17 September 2017 by midnight.
If your application is shortlisted, we will arrange a convenient time to call you for an informal chat by telephone between 9-11 October so that you have the opportunity to ask any questions and find out about the opportunities available.
