We are looking for a Health Services Improvement Manager to join our new Health Services Improvement team at Arthritis Research UK. This new function seeks to build partnerships to enable the testing and scaling up of interventions to improve musculoskeletal health. It works collaboratively with teams across the charity and external stakeholders.

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders, particularly in local authorities, to transform service delivery and care (in health settings and beyond) for people with musculoskeletal conditions. You will support the identification and roll out of well-evidenced interventions and improvement programmes, as well as inputting into the shape of our approach to scaling up future interventions. You will work closely with colleagues across the charity and especially with the policy, public affairs and campaigning team.

Key requirements

Applicants should have experience of working in or closely with local government. Experience of implementation of community based public health interventions would be particularly welcome. You will be skilled at building relationships with stakeholders, and have the resilience and maturity to work across teams and drive forward programmes of work independently.

How to apply

To apply please submit:

  1. a concise, up-to-date CV
  2. and a supporting statement (only one side of A4) demonstrating how you meet the key requirements set out in the job description and person specification
  3. Please mention where you've seen this role advertised

Email your completed application by midday on Wednesday 30 August.  Further details available on our website when you click apply.
