UKSA continues to deliver fantastic outcomes across our two key areas of work – Sea.Change and Sea.Careers.  In 2017/18 we will celebrate our 30th anniversary, having provided our services to over 100,000 people, see us further enhancing our financial sustainability, by ensuring our training revenues drive sufficient surplus into the charity thus enabling us to continue to invest in our transformational Sea.Change activities, but also look to the future.

Within our new Student Services function, this role leads a safe and positive learning environment by;

  • Supporting student learning and development, mentoring and industry guidance
  • Implementing a culture of quality and performance
  • Leading and embedding a Safeguarding culture
  • Planning and programming student courses
  • Working with Head of Training to ensure quality course delivery and resource planning,

Reporting to the Director of Operations and managing a small team you will demonstrate:

  • Strategic leadership and operational management experience in a service or customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of qualifications frameworks and evaluation techniques to support quality assurance
  • Expertise in Safeguarding and Quality Management Systems
  • Analytical skills and understanding of performance data
  • Excellent at working in partnership both internally and externally
  • Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to remain responsive
