An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Helpline Advisers to join a small, specialist charity who specialise in providing advice, support and guidance to people who are currently experiencing or who have previously been affected by harassment or stalking.

Working as a Helpline Adviser on our client's National Stalking Helpline, your role will entail providing appropriate guidance and support to those affected by stalking, responding quickly and efficiently to requests both over the phone and via email. Your role will entail risk assessing and safety planning, signposting enquiries for further help, and liaising with third parties and external agencies where appropriate. Working within a small team of staff and volunteers, your role will include assisting in any complex helpline enquiries, all the while broadening your knowledge on the issues of stalking through continued further reading and training.

To apply for this role, you must have demonstrable experience of working alongside vulnerable client groups (an IDVA background is desirable). The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent listening skills, a personable and approachable telephone manner, and a genuine desire to advise people affected by the issues of stalking. Good IT skills are imperative, as well as previous experience of working within a line management structure. Training will of course be provided, however previous advice and advocacy experience is essential.

Please note this is initially a temporary role until the end of November, starting asap.
