Service Coordinator (Stroke Recovery) 

A great role working as a Service Coordinator for a leading stroke charity. 

Our client is the leading UK stroke charity. They have been leading the fight against stroke for over 20 years. They influence and campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery.

This is a very exciting time for ther charity and they hope you will join them on ther journey. They believe in a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need. 

They fund world-class research to develop new treatments and ways to prevent the devastation of stroke. Breakthroughs in treatment have halved the number of people dying from stroke in the UK but it is still the second biggest killer in the world. That is why they are involved in projects across the globe 

Position: Stroke Recovery Service Coordinator 
Location: Reading, Berkshire 
Contract type: Fixed Term (ther Services are contract based, they currently have funding for this contract until 31st March 2018) 
Hours: 28 hours per week 
Salary: £17,917.73 to £19,619.98

About the Role: 

A new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join ther Stroke Recovery Service team in Reading and Wokingham. 

The Stroke Recovery Service Coordinator will be able to balance a busy caseload and work across a range of care, community and home settings. You will provide regular reviews and create client-centred intervention plans to support people to achieve their desired outcomes. The ability to provide clear, personally tailored information and advice is essential. Experience of recruiting and managing a team of volunteers would be highly beneficial. 

Reporting to the Area Manager for Berkshire West, the Stroke Recovery Service Coordinator will join an innovative and vibrant team in supporting stroke survivors and their families from hyper-acute stroke admission through discharge into the community. 

About You: 

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of effective time management and have experience working within the health and social care sector. 

You will have excellent IT skills and a strong understanding of how to use data to improve quality. A flexible approach to your role and the ability to drive is essential. 

You may have experience of the following: Stroke Recovery Service Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Health Care, Stroke Recovery, Third Sector, Charity, Not for Profit, Support Coordinator, Advice, Support Coordinator, etc.
