Floating Support Worker - MAPPA
Our client is a leading charity in the homeless sector, providing a range of accommodation and support services to homeless people across London. Working with various client groups, they aim to reduce harm from substances and work with external agencies to break offending patterns and assist offenders to re-integrate with the community. They are currently looking to recruit a temporary Floating Support Worker to support their HAWK team.
As Floating Support Worker you will support clients with complex needs in various locations across East London. Client focused, you will provide effective, high quality support to clients with offending backgrounds, those who are homeless and/or living in accommodation to prevent tenancy breakdown and improve quality of life. Managing a caseload of up to 20 service users, you will implement realistic, client led support plans and risk assessment as well as work closely with multiple agencies in order to maximise client support services, resources and funding.
To be considered you will have proven experience of working with MAPPA clients and have the ability to key work up to 20 service users. An experienced project worker, you will have an up to date understanding of current housing legislations. Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to vulnerable client groups is necessary, along with an understanding of the principles of assessment and risk, planned support and goal setting.
An enhanced DBS check registered to the update service is essential.
This position is part-time post working 3 days across Sutton, Merton and Ilford. This is a temporary role initially require on an on-going basis.
