Our client is a national charity dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised support to adults with learning disabilities. 

Position: Support Worker 
Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week 
Salary: £7.50 per hour 

About the Role: 

In Dunstable our client provide support for a number of people with learning disabilities who live in a service close to the town centre. 

In this role you will be working in a Supported Living service. They are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic staff to join them. 

You will be able to make a real difference to people's lives by supporting individuals to be as independent as possible, to develop their skills and interests as well as supporting people to try new activities within their community. 

There is a range of flexible working hours to suit; if this interests you then we want to hear from you. Don't worry if you don't have experience as we will provide you with the relevant training and support you need in order to be successful in the role. 

Our staff tell us that "No two days are the same...we might be at the supermarket on Tuesday, dancing the night away on a Friday or playing Bingo on a Saturday”. 

About You: 

You will need to have excellent communication and be able to use a range of skills to support people, and enable them to actively participate in choices about their life. 

For this role you need to be patient, have good sense of humour and be able to support people through good and bad days. They are looking for people who are committed to supporting the people they work with who are honest and reliable and who can be creative and flexible in their approach, enhancing peoples opportunities to grow and develop. 

They always base their support on the specific needs, choices and aspirations of the individual following their principles of person-centred support.
