About the Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for Full and part time workers for the Bedford area. The role requires support for individuals who have learning disabilities.
As a support worker you will play a key role in enabling the people they support to carry out all of the daily living tasks involved in everyday life. That could be helping someone to live independently within their own home.
Can you share your interests and skills with the people you support? Do you want to have the flexibility to work a range of flexible shifts to suit?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then we want to hear from you. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience as we will provide you with all the training and support you need in order to be successful in this role.
You will need to have excellent communication and be able to use a range of skills to support people, and enable them to actively participate in choices about their life.
For this role you need to be patient, have good sense of humour and be able to support people through good and bad days. They are looking for people who are committed to supporting the people they work with who are honest and reliable and who can be creative and flexible in their approach, enhancing peoples opportunities to grow and develop.
They always base their support on the specific needs, choices and aspirations of the individual following their principles of person-centred support.
