ICSA’s Certificate in Charity Law and Governance is for you. A unique online learning course that provides knowledge of law, compliance and regulation to help you to lead effective governance in your charity.

What you will learn
You will be introduced to the legal framework within which the law and regulation of charities and charitable activity in England and Wales is set, and the key components of effective governance in charities. This includes charity law, structures and legal forms, compliance and regulation, governance, stewardship of funds and assets. You will also develop practical insight into how to apply these rules and principles in your organisation.
How you will benefit
This qualification will give you essential technical knowledge and a better understanding of both the legal requirements and potential pitfalls that your organisation faces. You will also develop understanding of how to apply your learning in practical ways to improve your governance practice. Gaining the Certificate will provide recognition of your knowledge and expertise and demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to developing good governance.
Tuition and support
Tuition is provided by a five month course of webinars, supported by textbook and study materials. There are opportunities to interact with tutors and other students online and webinar slides and recordings are available after each session, so that you don’t miss out if you can’t make the live session. Two practice tasks are set across the course to support your learning and provide feedback on your progress as you work towards your exam in June.
