Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire 
Contract type: Permanent, full time 
Salary: £32,355 - £35,950 full-time salary plus benefits per annum

About the Role: 

They have an opportunity for a Senior Designer to join us on a permanent basis at their Cambridge Science Park office (free onsite parking) with occasional national travel. 

As their Senior Designer you will lead a small team of design and creative professionals responsible for the layout of their magazines and providing a graphic and digital design service to the whole organisation. 

Their creative design work, both print and digital, must attract attention, inspire involvement and create the desire to take action among all their audiences. Design work must always strive to maintain the high standards and production values that reflect their mission, vision, brand and reputation.

About You: 

The successful candidate will be able to display in-depth specialist knowledge of design and technical knowledge of the software tools used in design creation, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. 

You’ll have a strong graphical flair and the ability to translate brand guidelines into visual designs for all types of media. Knowledge of printing/colour processes and preparing artwork files for publications and printed material and the ability to integrate creativity and innovation into the working environment are also essential requirements. 

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are key to success in the role. You’ll also need excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative, co-ordinate the activity of the team and respond confidently to multiple project deadlines. A working knowledge of Muse, AfterEffects, 3DSketchUp or similar applications would be advantageous, as would PC experience.
