About the role:

Do you want to use your skills, knowledge and experience to help improve the welfare of farm animals and the sustainability of our global food system? Are you a team player, with the ability to take academic knowledge and translate it for use by different audiences? Perhaps you could be a voice for farm animals as well as representing the charity on the world stage in a number of fora such as academic, policy and civil society meetings? If so, this could be the role for you.

The goal of researchers within the Campaigns team is to maintain and develop them as a Centre of Excellence in Animal Welfare and Sustainability (as it relates to livestock production) and use science as a lever for change in helping to end factory-farming. They support a truly international organization with offices and projects in Europe, North America and China.

About you:

The Research Officer role offers a wonderful opportunity for a recent postgraduate, or a graduate with additional animal welfare, environmental or agriculture experience, to grow and develop in this dynamic environment. The right candidate will bring enthusiasm, scientific rigour and a broad knowledge-base; having an interest in applying principles of animal welfare both directly, and, indirectly through sustainability as it relates to livestock. A good knowledge of farm animal welfare is essential, along with a problem-solving, ‘can-do’ attitude. The role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact for farm animal welfare within a dynamic team and influential organisation.

You may have experience of the following: Research Analyst, Research Manager, Business Information, Not for profit, Charity, Research & Data Officer, Research Executive, Information Manager, Information Officer, Animal Welfare etc.
