Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Volunteering Officer 
Location: Reading (role covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire) 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £19,262.00 per annum (actual)

About the role: 

They are looking for an excellent communicator and team player to support volunteers in the locality in a variety of roles. You will be responsible for all aspects of volunteering in the locality, including the co-ordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers. You will also be working closely with the Locality team to assess needs and create plans for recruitment of volunteers. Experience in the voluntary sector is desirable. 

About you: 

You should be a self-motivated individual able to promote volunteering opportunities and spearhead recruitment with experience of supporting and motivating volunteers with good time management and IT skills including use of MS Office packages 

It is desirable that you have an understanding of the needs of people affected by dementia are able to travel independently within the service area.
