Community Fundraising Manager (Maternity Cover, 18 months)

SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health issues in Scotland since 1923.
The charity operates 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services among others. These services, together with its national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform SAMH’s important policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
SAMH’s fundraising began in earnest in 2011 and the achievements and expansion of the charity has since been phenomenal.
Building on this momentum, SAMH has an ambitious new fundraising strategy and is looking to expand and support its vibrant team.
The Community Fundraising Manager is a central role within the fundraising management team. You will lead on generating significant income from Community sources to meet or exceed income targets and will be responsible for managing the Community Fundraising team. You will contribute to the successful delivery of SAMH’s ambitious fundraising strategy in a variety of ways including:
• Develop and lead on Community Fundraising activities from concept to completion
• Successfully lead on the organisation and delivery of fundraising events
• Ensure the highest standards of stewardship with supporters and volunteers
You will be a strong communicator across a range of channels with excellent knowledge and understanding of Community Fundraising.
