Senior Project Administrator (International sustainability and elearning projects)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. 

Our client is a leading UK membership body and professional institute. It is a learned society and key source of information for its members and the general public in its field. It promotes sustainability, education standards and career development through initiatives such as websites, environmental initiatives, promoting innovation and a range of learning programmes for professional engineers. Their charitable objectives include promoting communication between members and encouraging invention, innovation and research.

Position: EU Frameworks Project Manager 
Location: Office based, Carshalton, Surrey (Includes international travel) 
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed term Contract for 36 months – flexible working arrangements or part time would be considered. 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum 
Benefits: 5 weeks paid leave (after probation) per annum in addition to public and bank holidays, Private non-contributor health care, 8% non-contributory pension scheme.

About the Role: 
The Project Manager will lead delivery of two EU Framework International projects which our client is contracted to manage with the EU with guaranteed funding for the next three years. This includes working with representatives of education bodies and trade associations across Europe and representing the project at key industry and government meetings. You will be responsible for all aspects of project finance, administration, reporting and communications. 

This role is offered as a 3 year fixed contract with the potential scope to extend to a full time position with wider responsibilities. 

There are two exciting new projects that this role will focus on: working on Communications and Dissemination (multilingual website, social media, press releases, events planning) and a Blended Learning Train the Trainer Programme to be made available in 13 different languages.   

About You: 
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working with international funded programmes and strictly controlled funding mechanisms to deliver large scale market awareness and impact in collaboration with external international experts who will provide technical input. You will have strong written communications and be able to manage and report on meetings verbally, with an ability to present complex information visually or in summary. 

Strong IT skills are essential for financial management and reporting (excel, PowerPoint etc.) and you will be quick to learn new skills required e.g. updating eLearning platform or websites. You must be highly motivated, able to work without day to day supervision and be focused on achieving results to fixed deadline as well as having a flexible approach to work. 

Due to the nature of the role you will have the ability to be able to travel internationally (primarily within Europe) to attend meetings and conferences usually 2-3 day’s induration.
