Prospectus are pleased to be collaborating with a national health related charity who work tirelessly to raise awareness of women's health. They are currently recruiting for a Public Health Engagement Coordinator, on a three-year FTC, to engage with women and health professionals in order to increase their reach and promote the vital preventative work that the organisation undertakes.

As Public Health Engagement Coordinator (PEC), you will develop a local outreach service, which will enable the charity to educate and empower hard to reach women to make decisions about their own health, reduce health inequalities and incidents relating to the disease. Working closely with the Head of Information and Education and the charity's Manchester PEC, you will develop and plan outreach activities as well as establish key links with defined stakeholders which could include, GPs and Practice Nurses, Sexual Health Centres and relevant community groups and leaders. Finally, you will be responsible for the recruitment and training of community champions who will support you in targeting as many women as possible across London.

To be considered you will be a strong project manager with significant proven experience working within health promotion and have the ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders in both a clinical and community setting. Successful delivery of this programme will rely upon skilled volunteers and therefore demonstrable experience of group facilitation is essential as is the ability to recruit, train and monitor volunteers in the community. In addition, you will have knowledge and experience of changing health systems; have the ability to teach cancer prevention and awareness and have an understanding of health inequalities. Excellent communication skills combined with experience of working with diverse communities is essential for this role.
