'Support Plus' Project Manager
DAVSS is looking to recruit an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ person to manage our exciting domestic abuse Support Plus project across West Kent.
We are an award-winning West Kent charity supporting women and men experiencing domestic abuse. Our professionally-trained volunteer advisors offer a listening ear and face-to-face support, providing practical advice, assessing risks, developing safety plans and providing legal advice and support to court when required.
The Support Plus project is funded by the Home Office VAWG Service Transformation Fund. The Project Manager will supervise and co-ordinate an innovative new support project on behalf of DAVSS, working collaboratively with partners, establishing a GP ‘drop in’ service, a virtual support group as well as a ‘drop-in’ group for survivors of domestic abuse, in addition to supporting our volunteers and the awareness-raising services provided by DAVSS.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of best practice relating to domestic abuse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with victims of domestic abuse. Knowledge of risk assessments, safety planning, MARAC and court procedures and experience of project management and monitoring outcomes will be required. Although not essential, an IDVA or equivalent qualification is desirable.
A full driving licence and access to a car for use across Kent will be required. A mileage allowance will be paid.
