Finance Officer - (12 months fixed term contract from September 2017)

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our finance team based in their Head Offices in Vauxhall.
Reporting to the Finance Manager the purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Finance and Development Team.
You will support the Finance Manager in accurate recording and retrieving of financial details of the Charity, including maintaining exceptional financial records and processing transactions on the purchase ledger. To work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of financial matters.
This is exciting and challenging role, the candidate will maintain the purchase ledger, posting cash journals and reconcile the Charities bank accounts.
You will prepare and process the purchase ledger invoices, including employees and volunteer’s expense reimbursements. It will also include raising the Purchase orders and matching invoices with relevant POs The individual will have the ability to work flexibly and on his/her own initiative whilst demonstrating high levels of accuracy and close attention to detail. He/she will have an ability to deal effectively with queries, provide advice and has to be highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance professional who is looking for a varied role.
Our client is looking for an applicant who has existing experience in an accounts payable role and a sound understanding of double entry book-keeping. The person should be able to manage a busy and varied workload, be a good team player and should be able to use accounting and finance systems.
