Programme Funding Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading children's health charity which had an income of £23 million last year. The charity has an excellent reputation nationally and now they want to extend this internationally by bringing together previously separate brands.
The main aim of the role is to secure and steward five and six figure grants from trusts, foundations, the lottery and Government. You will manage a portfolio of identified and new charitable trusts and grant-making bodies to increase income. From this, you will research exciting and new trust funding opportunities. You will manage funder relationships through excellent customer service ensuring financial reports are submitted on time. Finally, you will support the Senior Funding Officer in building relationships and support the Funding Executive in submitting smaller applications.
You will have experience of trust and statutory grant fundraising with a proven track record of securing four and five figure grant income against set targets. From this you will have experience of researching lottery and statutory funders to identify new opportunities. You will have excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise demanding workloads. Finally, you will be able to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team working environment.
You will receive a salary of £27,575 - £32,218 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus Christmas to New Year closure, 5.5% pension contribution, annual incremental pay rise plus cost of living increase in June. Flexible working allowances might be considered once embedded in the role.
