Senior Programme Funding Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading children's health charity which had an income of £23 million last year. The charity has an excellent reputation nationally and now they want to extend this internationally by bringing together previously separate brands.
The main purpose of the role is maximising growth from major trusts, foundations and government to develop and support the charity's international and UK agenda. Therefore, you will lead on six figure applications to international and UK grant makers whereby you will be making applications to DFID, Big Lottery International and EU funders. Furthermore, you will work with staff across the charity to identify new opportunities for funding which will include developing strategic plans and partnerships. Finally, you will give advice and assistance to junior colleagues in the funding team.
You will have a proven track record of achieving six or seven figure multi-year grants from sources such as DFID, EU, Lottery and other international or bi-lateral funders. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills with the ability to produce detailed reports. Furthermore, you will be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to think laterally and find solutions to problems. Finally, you will possess sound interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships externally and internally.
You will receive a salary of £33,145 to £39,110 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus Christmas to New Year closure, 5.5% pension contribution, annual incremental pay rise plus cost of living increase in June. Flexibly working allowances might be considered once embedded in the role.
