Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Drug and Alcohol Professional to join their team at HMP Send.
Working within HMP Send you will be responsible for coordinating and developing family/carer work with an emphasis on both supporting families/carers to identify and provide for their own needs as well as those of the service user.
This is a unique role as you will be offering Family Worker interventions and coordinate Peer Support. Working closely with the prison, local agencies, self-help groups and peer mentoring services, you will be responsible in providing pathways for clients and families to increase their engagement in family life, improve their health and well-being and reduce re-offending.
To take up this exciting opportunity you will be in possession of, or be working towards a recognised qualification in a related field (counselling, health & social care, nursing etc.) as well as experience or good knowledge of the criminal justice system and/or working with families.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, experience of liaising with multiple stakeholders, and the ability to set and stick to professional boundaries.
HMP Send has limited access by public transport and access to your own means of transport is required.
