HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS & PARTNERSHIPS (Part-time)
The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship is a national charity that was founded in 1965 to support retired civil servants, their partners and dependants. We offer a range of services to our beneficiaries including befriending schemes (home and telephone visits), advice and information and a local community group network that offers social and leisure engagement.
We have recently undergone an operational review of the charity and have created a new part-time role (3 days a week) of Head of Communications & Partnerships. The role would involve working directly with the Chief Executive with the main purpose to develop and implement effective Communications & Partnership strategies to promote the work of the Civil Service Retirement Fellowship. It was also involve day-to-day responsibility for online and social media, marketing and promotion, internal communications, media and PR.
Person Specification (all of which are essential)
-High standard of written English with the ability to produce concise and persuasive prose (you will be expected to demonstrate this at interview)
-Be good at managing people and relationships
-Have good written and verbal skills
-Be confident in making decisions
-Good communication skills
-Be I.T. proficient
-Be organised in managing workload
-Ability to learn new things quickly and retain information
-Have experience working within a small team
-Be able to use own initiative and work autonomously
-Effective problem solving
-Good numerical skills
