Solace Women’s Aid is dedicated to providing a full range of services for women and children enabling them to live their lives free from domestic and sexual violence.
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to work within our Finance Department which is based in North London. It is an exciting and varied role with a wide range of duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recording and monitoring of the charity’s expenditure while complying with agreed standards and procedures for all finance operations.
Main areas of responsibility are processing supplier invoices and staff expenses claims and preparing the payment run. Administration of the petty cash and prepaid cards system including reconciliation over a number of sites. Weekly banking and processing bank transactions such as direct debits and standing orders.
Candidates should have excellent communication, numeracy and ICT skills and a background in finance. You will need to be highly organised, have an eye for detail and the ability to use your own initiative when it comes to problem solving.
Salary: Starting salary of £22,000. Up to £24,000, depending on experience and qualification(s)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
