Transport for the North (TfN) is a public-private partnership responsible for setting the transport investment priorities for the North. With a Board of elected leaders and Local Enterprise Partnership chairs it incorporates the cities, wider regional towns and rural areas, to drive better connectivity, improve opportunities and drive economic growth.
As Chief Executive, you will lead TfN, the UK’s first regional Statutory Transport Body, and be responsible for delivering the organisation’s pioneering vision of a thriving North of England where modern transport connections drive economic growth and support an excellent quality of life.
You will be at the forefront of shaping the future of transport in the North of England by influencing and leading the development and delivery of the Northern Strategic Transport Plan, providing strategic leadership and creating a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, performance and delivery.
The ability to collaborate and secure the confidence among TfN’s diverse stakeholder community is critical. You will be a leading voice for the North and willing to stretch the boundaries of what is expected to maximise on the North’s unique strengths and deliver on the organisation’s vision.
This appointment requires an outstanding leader who possesses excellent communication and influencing skills and will be adept at building strong working relationships which inspire and engage.
