Head of Income Generation

Contract: Full time/ permanent; Salary: Circa £40,000; Location: Curdridge, Southampton

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the leading local nature conservation charity and is one of the largest of the county-based Wildlife Trusts with a lively, dedicated and passionate team of 85 staff and 900 volunteers.

The charity is now seeking to appoint a Head of Income Generation which is a new role created to drive growth for the Trust.   This role has been created to bring new business development skills into the organisation in response to a changing external world.  You will be the strategic lead for income generation, responsible for developing and growing the Trust’s consultancy business together with all forms of charitable fundraising.  This is a senior strategic leadership role, working closely with the CEO and her senior team and the Board.  The successful individual will demonstrate:

  • Experience of growing and developing businesses
  • Understanding of all aspects of fundraising and income generation
  • Sound financial and budget management experience
  • People management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the trust is maximising income generating opportunities wherever possible.
