Our client has a prominent focus on improving childhoods for all children, particularly those who are disadvantaged. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to join their LEAP (Lambeth Early Action Partnership) team, aiming to transform the lives of babies, young children and families across Lambeth, and make Lambeth the best place in the world to grow up.

As a Community Engagement Officer, you will support the Co-Production Lead in implementing and monitoring an effective community engagement strategy across the LEAP project. Your role will entail using an asset-based approach to build on the strengths and capabilities of local communities, successfully leading and integrating the work of local Voluntary and Community Sector organisations, community groups, parents and communities. You will continually support the development of collaborations and partnerships to encourage local communities to take part in as well as develop community-led innovation initiatives that improve social cohesion and the wellbeing of children under four and their families.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in developing and implementing community engagement initiatives as well as maintaining partnerships and networks. It is essential that you have a strong understanding of strategies for engagement and will have previously monitored and evaluated initiatives to ensure maximum impact. The ideal candidate will be incredibly innovative and structured in their approach, working with a wide range of groups including parents and different communities.
