Cheshire West Citizens Advice is the largest independent provider of generic advice within the district with all of our front line services being staffed by our volunteer teams.

We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative Team Leader to supervise and support the Ellesmere Port Advice Centre service. You will be responsible for overseeing the service to clients of Ellesmere Port, delivering within the new advice model, ensuring seamless service provision from the first point of contact onwards. You will supervise a team of volunteers providing feedback, support and encouragement to aid their development with the service. Growth of the volunteer team will also play an important role so you will be active in recruiting volunteers from the community. You will have excellent communication skills with an ability to work in a fast paced environment handling administration systems, client interactions and supporting volunteers.

This is a forward thinking, energetic role with lots of face to face interactions that would suit someone with enthusiasm and passion for supporting people to get the right advice for them. This vacancy is ideal for someone who believes clients have a right to expect high standards and would like to work at the cutting edge of change in the Citizens Advice network.

As an employer we offer flexible working (subject to approval), have an enhanced holiday entitlement, and subject to successful completion of a probation period, enhanced sick pay.  We provide support, coaching and mentoring, and also wish to encourage staff to have autonomy in their work.
