Intelligent, influential and focused trustees wanted for game-changing yet embracing charity.

Our client is now looking to strengthen and complement their Board with the addition of two or three new Trustees with experience in: commercial or charity law, marketing, PR and public affairs. They are also interested in candidates with expertise in corporate fundraising.

Location: Homeworking - with occasional travel to Milton Keynes
Salary: Unpaid voluntary role

Our client is a fast growing national charity, striving to fund a network of seven dedicated research centres whilst challenging the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more in brain tumour research.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Everyone at this charity is passionate about finding a cure for this devastating disease.

The Board of Trustees plays a key role in the growth of the charity, setting the overall strategic direction and providing scrutiny to their processes and decisions as well as ensuring standards of governance are upheld.

This role is pro-bono with meetings held three times a year in Milton Keynes.  You will also be expected to sit on one of their sub-committees. Trustees are also asked to attend and contribute to a relevant annual workshop and all trustees are invited to lobbying and other events.

First time trustees will be considered and full induction and training will be provided.

Please submit your application by Friday 31st March 2017.
